Boston Women in Tech + Amplify Summer Mixer

Boston, MA Women in Tech is thrilled to team up with Amplify Boston for this summer’s happy hour!

Join us Thursday, August 15 to meet and mingle with our local Boston Women in Tech friends and work together and we grow and support our Salesforce community. We’ll uplift summer accomplishments, collaborate on any current challenges, and chat about the fast-approaching Northeast Dreamin' conference!

Meet us at PAGU in Cambridge, accessible via MBTA bus (1, CT1, 64, 70, 70A) & Red Line (Central Square or Kendall/MIT), with parking nearby (55 Franklin St, Cambridge).

PAGU, led by owner/chef Tracy Chang, opened in Central Square in 2017. From their website about them:

"Like “Food”, there are intangible aspects of PAGU that can’t be captured eloquently nor accurately in words. It is more than a restaurant. It is more than an experience. Like our mischievous and resilient pug friend Phoebe, PAGU is a dynamic and transformative soul that pushes our friends and guests to live life fully, literally and physically. Through food and service, we aim to celebrate family, friends, innovation, and creativity, among many other things. Inspired by our local excursions and travels around the world, we challenge ourselves to create feel-good homey food that speaks to the body and soul – something that consistently spoke to us no matter where we were, regardless of the cuisine."

Food & drink covered by Salesforce until we hit our limit, ala carte after that. Please RSVP so we can get adequate space. Allies welcome!

Looking forward to seeing you there! RSVP here.

We have great places to practice our technical skills: Trailhead, online classes, and study groups. But where can we practice critical personal growth skills? How can we tune into personal strengths to find our unique voice and confidence?

Assertive communication, executive presence, and business storytelling are critical skills that are rarely taught, but are key to leveling up your career and owning your confidence.

This is a workshop for normal humans, with normal fears and anxieties. You will learn the tenants of assertive communication, craft a vision of your executive presence, and practice storytelling to leverage your strengths and establish authority.

Equity Salesforce Practitioners: Philly Amplify Kickoff Meeting

There are SO many wonderful Salesforce groups in the Ohana, let alone just in Philadelphia! What you can expect at an Equity Salesforce Practitioners meeting? We're proud to be a regional chapter of Amplify with our own Philly flavor.

*Connection* We're not just looking for our next gig - we're also looking to show up as our full, vibrant selves - women in tech, queer folks, Women of Color, parents, artists, and more. Come to this meetup so that we can get to know you as a Salesforce practitioner and beyond! Oh, and there will definitely be networking - just not the show-offy kind :)

*Inclusivity* We're working hard to build an inclusive space that is rewarding for Super Users, Admins, Developers, Partners, ISVs, and/or job seekers across Nonprofit and For Profit communities. Come as you are!

*Value* We want to make Meetups worth your time - so we're planning for activities that are fun, informative, and immediately beneficial. We'll have a rotating bunch of demos, discussions, and time to earn a Trailhead badge or two so you walk away having accomplished something. Two people on our leadership team are performing artists, so get ready for some fun and goofy activities, too! (Don't worry - two other members of our leadership team prefer to stay home with a knitting project).

*Solidarity* Many of us have faced disappointments and obstacles in our career as underrepresented people in tech. We want to use storytelling, mentorship, and our supportive networks to *amplify* our voices and our careers. We can't do it alone!

Many thanks to our partner, Slalom Consulting, for generously hosting this kick-off event!
